Grand Finals, Week 5, And Other Lessons Learned

Week 5 is special because if you played every week, you now know where you stand in your league. It’s special for the same reason if you missed weeks as well: you know what you have to do to move up in the last few weeks. Maybe you know what games you’ll wanna pick. Maybe you know how you’re doing in a head to head competition with your friends in the same league. It’s neat to see how that all works out.

You can check your standings in your local leagues all in Matchplay. If you go look at the links on the NPC Location page, we take you to the Match Play league for each location, and then you can see the full standings there.

All of the locations I’ve spoke with have a good idea of what their finals are going to look like, and your payouts, so make sure you’re talking to your location admins and getting ready for your finals date!

Grand Finals

This week, we’re taking the covers off of Grand Finals, which is taking place at the Lower Playfield in Goffstown NH September 13th. Grand Finals will be open to the top 4 players from each location who can attend (and this almost certainly won’t be the straight across top 4 from each spot — some people won’t be able to make it).

This page has all of the details, but right up top, over $1,700 in cash and prizes will be awarded to players. We’re getting excited, so check it out and let us know if you have any questions.

Looking back at Season One

NPC grew far faster than we expected — we really thought we’d have a few spots and maybe 60-70 players. We doubled that in Season 1 thanks to you all! Turns out people really like pinball (we knew this) and really wanted to play league over the summer (we weren’t sure about this). We’re starting to plan with the location admins how and what we do next; while we don’t have a timetable for that, we will absolutely share that on the site and the newsletter when we do.

And that’s it for this week. We’ll have more information about some other things going around for Finals in the next few weeks, including a way that anyone who played in NPC has a chance to win some prizes, regardless of where or how much you played.
